About Us
Founded in 1966, Sigma Alpha Chi is a social sorority at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin that has brought many astounding women together. As a sorority, we hope to foster a unity and loyalty among Carthage students as well as promote scholastic achievement. Through our bonds of sisterhood we hope to nurture friendships that will last a lifetime and build character to shape future leaders.
Sigma Alpha Chi fosters promotes consonance, devotion, and excellence through various retreats, fundraisers, service projects, and activities such as Formal and Semi-Formal. We support our sisters and encourage them to excel in all that they do. Though we come from diverse backgrounds and experiences, we strive to represent the true meaning of "Everlasting Oneness" through understanding, compassion and empathy towards all.
Thanks to our small size, many of our sisters have a chance to hold one or more leadership positions. These positions, as well as the responsibilities that accompany them, help our sisters prepare for careers and leadership positions both in and out of the workplace.
